FAQ
Learn about our organic, fair-trade, shade-grown coffee. Reach out to us with any additional questions.
How fresh will my coffee be when I receive it?
Every bag of Sol Bird Coffee you purchase on our website is roasted to order, and you should receive your coffee within 4–10 days of roasting. We stamp every bag with a roast date, so you know exactly how fresh your coffee is.
Our staff roasts 3–4 times per week, and your order is processed during the next scheduled roast run. After you open your bag of coffee, we recommend enjoying it within 2 weeks to ensure peak freshness.
For even better freshness and quality, store your beans in an airtight container.
When will my order ship?
As our staff roasts 3–4 times per week, your order is processed during the next scheduled roast run. Once roasted, we ship your order either on the same day or the very next day. You should receive your coffee 4–10 days after it's roasted.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free for orders over $35. For orders under $35, you can choose from different shipping options at checkout.
Where is Sol Bird Coffee roasted?
Our team roasts at a certified organic roasting facility in San Diego, CA.
I'm not satisfied with my purchase – what's your refund policy?
We stand by our brand and products. If you aren't 100% satisfied with your purchase, let us know, and we'll make it right. Please contact us for customer support.
Is Sol Bird Coffee considered shade-grown coffee?
Yes! While various certifications indicate shade-grown farming practices, we utilize the Smithsonian's Bird Friendly® as our shade-grown certification.
We chose Bird Friendly over other certifications because we believe it has the most rigorous standards, including its tree canopy requirements. You can learn more about this certification on the Smithsonian’s website.
Do you offer ground coffee?
Yes, we do! We understand how busy life is, and ground coffee that's promptly shipped to your home is a great time-saver.
That said, we do encourage customers to choose whole bean coffee, if they have the time and tools to prepare it fresh. You get even more flavor out of your cup when you grind coffee right before you brew. Shop our coffees.
What kind of coffee beans does Sol Bird source?
We only source 100% Arabica, specialty coffee beans that are certified Bird Friendly, organic, and fair-trade.
